Update Regarding NYSDOH Skilled Nursing Visitation Policy

Learn more about the pandemic emergency plan for each community.

As announced last week, New York State has updated its’ nursing home visitation guidance to allow in-home visitation for facilities that have been free of COVID-19 positive diagnoses for at least 14 days. While we are proud to share that residents in  all of our facilities are currently COVID-free, we appreciate your patience as we work diligently to prepare for a safely planned and organized reintroduction to indoor visitation. Our priority throughout this pandemic has been – and continues to be – the health and wellbeing of our beloved residents and we appreciate your continued compassion and understanding as we work to finalize a plan that ensures their safety as well as that of our healthcare heroes.

In the meantime, we will continue to offer scheduled outdoor visitation, drive-by and window visits.

We also continue to encourage phone calls and “Virtual Visits” via Skype, Zoom and FaceTime with residents using new tablets made possible through grant funding from the Pioneer Network.  Once individual facility Visitation Plans are approved by the NYSDOH, we will immediately update resident families as to how they can begin booking visits with their loved ones.

Please refer to the specific facility’s webpage and the Visitor Expectations Fact Sheet for additional information about visitation, as well as our COVID Visitor Screening Log.

If you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact either the Administrator or social worker at your loved one’s facility.
