Robert W. Hurlbut became president of ROHM Services Corporation in 1993.  He previously served as Vice President of ROHM Services Corporation and was the administrator at The Hurlbut Nursing Home in Brighton. 

Hurlbut is a graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology, with a degree in Food, Hotel and Travel Management.  He serves on numerous community and civic boards.  He was named a Distinguished Alumnus of Rochester Institute of Technology in 1998 and was given the University's Sarah Margaret Gillam Award - Hotel School in 2009.  He was named one of Rochester's 40 Under 40 by the Rochester Business Journal in 1995. In his personal life, Bob lives in Brighton with his wife Sarah and has two sons, Forrest and Robert.


Bridgett M. Reed

Bridgett has been in healthcare for more than 25 years, earning several awards for her work. She received her Master’s Degree in Business from Rochester Institute of Technology in 1993, and has since taught finance courses and presented at several healthcare finance forums. She resides in Webster.


Gail Brocious

Gail’s career with Hurlbut Care Communities began in 1995, when she became Quality Care Coordinator. She previously served as Nurse Manager and was later promoted to Staff Development Coordinator at the Hurlbut Nursing Home. Gail then moved up to Director of Nursing at the same facility. She holds a Master’s Degree from the State University of New York at Brockport, and is a Certified Gerontological Nurse. Gail volunteers as a Boy Scout First Aid Merit Badge Counselor, and has served on committees for the Rochester City School District and Medical Orders for Life Sustaining Treatment. She is married with three children and five grandchildren.


Connie Lester

Connie is in charge of getting the word out about Hurlbut Care Communities. She joined Hurlbut in 2011, after serving in a similar capacity at a large, corporate-run facility in Pennsylvania. She enjoys now being part of a the “Hurlbut family” atmosphere. Connie holds a Bachelor’s degree in Speech Communication from Penn State, and is very involved in Rochester-area activities that support the elderly. These include currently serving on the Board of Directors of G.R.A.P.E., the Greater Rochester Area Partnership for the Elderly. She is also a certified facilitator of Alzheimer’s support groups. She and her three children now enjoy Rochester and being within a short drive of many other family members. Connie spent part of her youth in Panama, and is very fluent in Spanish.


Doris P. Garcia

Doris celebrated 20 years with Hurlbut Care Communities in 2013. Her background includes significant educational experience, as she holds Bachelor of Science degrees in both Gerontology and Psychology. Married with two children, Doris is fluent in three languages and is also a classically trained pianist. She contributes to the community by fundraising for the American Diabetes Association and sponsoring a youth soccer program, among other giving-back activities.


Ann M. Harris

Ann has served as Administrator at three different Hurlbut Care Communities since she joined the organization in 1986. She received a Bachelor’s degree in Health Service Administration from SUNY Institute of Technology and is a graduate of the NYSHA Advanced Administrators Course. Married with two children, Ann is also a past President and Board of Directors’ Member of the Flower City Ballet. As a hobby, she raised and showed miniature horses on the national circuit for many years.


Kelli Davids

Kelly brings extensive experience at Hurlbut Care Communities and other medical facilities to her administrator role. She started with our organization as a nurse coordinator on a rehabilitation floor, then moved up to be Director of Nursing at Seneca Nursing & Rehabilitation for over nine years. Most recently she served as Assistant Administrator at Hornell Gardens, prior to coming to Elm Manor. Kelly enjoys reading, as well as hiking and camping with her husband and three sons. She also volunteers with her church’s youth ministry and teaches Sunday school and vacation bible school.


James W. Bicker

Jim serves as administrator at Hornell Gardens, where he has been employed since 1974. The Hartwick College graduate is President of the Genesee Health Facilities Association, and a board member of the New York State Health Facilities Association. He and his wife, Judy, have three daughters, a son, and three stepdaughters.

Steve has been a member of the Hurlbut Care leadership team for 13 years. He graduated with a B.S. in Business Administration from the State University at Brockport and has pursued additional coursework at RIT and St. John Fisher College. Prior to joining the Hurlbut team, Steve was an administrator at Wedgewood and Elm Manor.


Kari Kuhn

Kari has seven years of Long Term Care experience to bring to Avon Nursing and Rehabilitation. She has a bachelor’s degree in Biology and is certified in the Didactic Program of Dietetics. Her career in Long Term Care began with working in the kitchen of a Nursing Home in Seattle. She quickly grew to love the residents, staff, and the sense of community that is unique to Long Term Care.

She recently moved back to the Rochester Area with her husband, Josh and two children, Lily and Ben. They live in Webster by Lake Ontario. When she’s not busy chasing after her 3 year old son, she enjoys spending time outdoors or reading a good book.


Kimberley Danzig

With Hurlbut Care Communities since 1999, Kim has served as a Director of Nursing at two facilities, Assistant Director of Nursing at two other facilities, and an Assistant Administrator prior to becoming Administrator of The Hurlbut in 2011. She is very active in her Hilton community, serving as President of the Hilton Boys Lacrosse Booster Program and on the Board of Directors of HAYLO (Hilton Area Lacrosse Organization). Previously, she was head medic for Hilton Raiders Football. Kim is married with two children, a girl and a boy (who quite clearly play lacrosse)!


Erin Monahan

Erin has led our Newark Manor team since May 2010. She has a Masters in Public Administration from SUNY Albany. Married with two children, Erin is active in the Fairport Booster Club and Fairport PTA.


Mary Lee Burnell

Mary Lee brings extensive health care and elder care experience to her role as Administrator at Seneca. With Hurlbut Care Communities since 1992, she has served as an Assistant Administrator and Director of Social Work at other facilities. She is an active member of several area organizations dedicated to improving the community and quality of life for our region, including the Finger Lakes Health Care Alliance Board, Seneca County Chamber of Commerce, and Genesee Health Facilities Association, among others. Mary Lee has two adult children and one grandchild. In her spare time, she enjoys skydiving, hot air ballooning, whitewater rafting and other adventurous activities.


Cheryl Unterborn

Cheryl joined Hurlbut Care Communities in 2000 as a social worker at The Shore Winds Nursing Home before serving as Assistant Administrator from 2005-2007. She holds a Master of Public Administration from State University of New York at Brockport. Cheryl has received Employee of the Year and Employee of the Month honors at The Shore Winds. She has been married for more than 25 years, and has a daughter, son, and two granddaughters.


Elisa Miller

Elisa has a long tenure at Hurlbut Care Communities, having worked at four different facilities since her hire in 1986. She was Director of Social Work at Shorewinds before serving as administrator for Elm Manor, Penfield Place, and Woodside Manor. She holds a Master of Public Administration with Health Emphasis, and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. Elisa serves on the Monroe Community Hospital Oversight Board, the Executive Committee of the Health Care Foundation of the Finger Lakes, and on several committees of the Genesee Health Facilities Association. She is a 2014 recipient of the Eli Pick Award for Facility Leadership from the American College of Health Care Administrators. From Woodside Manor, she received a Bronze Award for excellence from the American Health Care Association. She has two college-age daughters and two cats.


Ryan Bonnell

Ryan worked as full-time Occupational Therapist/Rehab Director for Woodside Manor and Rehab Director for Penfield Place prior to being promoted to his current position as Director of Rehabilitation for all the Hurlbut Care Communities. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Buffalo before joining Hurlbut in 1998. He coaches the Brighton Jr. Barons football team and manages the Jr. Barons 8U Babe Ruth team. He also volunteers at Browncroft Community Church, working with youth programs. Ryan and his wife of 13 years have a son and daughter.
